When I set out to share my thoughts, on the difficulties of being a freelancer, I ended up going down path that I didn't know I had. That's the beauty of being an artist, always continuously exploring and discovering something new about yourself. So I want to take this chance to set the record straight about crossing the street. You are not alone. I don't just mean people like me, that understand what you're going through, I mean the people in your life that care and love you.
See crossing the street isn't for everyone, however it's a journey we as artist feel compelled to do, but aren't that clear when to do it, or how. Now for the few of us that take that first step, realize your loved ones, family, or those near and dear to you, are being taken, sometimes kicking screaming, or out right dragged, WITH YOU.
In my previous journal I described my regular "work life" and how those around me viewed "real work". The people around you may not completely understand your journey, never less they have concerns for you that sometimes turn into "fear". That fear can fuel the hesitance to support you, or go with you. And it's okay, it's natural.
Just remember when you finally gather up that "courage" to cross the street, be armed with the "knowledge" and exercise some "wisdom", whether you like it or not, you are taking them with you. Don't hate them. Don't resent them. All they know is where they are have grown quite comfortable. So that is also something to think about.
Remember to look both ways...
Still Alive
Yeah for all those tat gave me a follow, I thought it would be a courtesy to at least let you know I'm still alive, and yes still drawing. Being an artist is funny if not very interesting journey, filled with ups an downs. I have sought the desire to become full-time professional, that was meet with great difficulty. Alas I was unable to support myself an family as such, and needed to get a "real job" (Hahaha). So, while the dream has not died, It must become a part time gig, or "Professional Hobby", either way I will be taking money and using my art supplement my income.
I just finished my first comic-con known as the SDComicFest. I receive
Doug Hills MS5 Patreon
Hello everyone,
I just wanted to give a heads up to all the Manga Studio 5 users out there, that Doug Hills, the author of MS5 For Dummies, has continued his tips on a patreon page.
Dougs goal is to totally keep doing these for free, BUT he is doing this on his own time. So if you can become a patreon, do so. If not, help spread the word by point to his page to someone and maybe they can contribute.

Sketch Cards: Guardians of The Galaxy
Hey everyone, just week later form SDCC and it was great. Thanks to my dear friend mechangel2002 I got introduced to making sketch cards for UpperDeck. Soooo I made a 16 card sample sheet of Guardians of the Galaxy and from what I'm told they liked it. Now since it's not official the PSC's will be made available for sale by me. Once those cards are gone, I will be opening a Personal Sketch Card commission sale.
